Electricity Generation at N-Plants

At present there are 10 nuclear power plants operated in Russia, with installed capacity of 23.2 MW  (by electricity output). In 2007 they generated 158.58 million kWh, which is 102.3% of the volume generated in 2006. Nuclear power generation comprised about 16% of the total country's electricity generation. Nuclear power plants are operated by Concern Rosenergoatom.

Operating organization for all nuclear power plants in Russia, the customer for NPP’s under construction. Basic activities include generating electric and heat power, maintaining nuclear and radiation safety. Concern includes as affiliates all Russian nuclear power plants currently in service. The supporting enterprises have the status of subsidiaries of the generating company.
