Nizhniy Novgorod Engineering Company Atomenergoproekt (NN AEP) won the tender for the principal contractor to carry out the construction of the 3-rd and 4-th reactors of Rostov (Volgodonsk) nuclear power plant. The company informed the bidding results were scored up by Concern Energoatom on June 2. The Rostov plant project pertains to a series of unified projects utilizing VVER-1000 reactors where each 1000-megawatt reactor is placed in a separate building. The estimated cost of the 3-rd and 4-th commercial reactors is RUR145696.46m in the current prices.
